TFD Insurance provides auto insurance information, quote requests, and related services to consumers. We are not an insurance company and we do not underwrite, issue, or sell insurance policies directly. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any portion of this policy, please do not use the Services.
We collect information that you voluntarily provide, information generated automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from third parties.
When you request a quote, contact us, or sign up for communications, we may collect identifying details such as your full name, mailing address, ZIP code, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and marital status.
To produce an auto insurance quote, we may collect details about the vehicle (year, make, model, VIN, primary use, annual mileage), the listed drivers (license status, driving history, prior accidents, prior claims), and your current insurance situation (carrier, coverage limits, policy expiration date).
When you visit the website we automatically collect certain technical information, including IP address, approximate geographic location, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on each page, and the path you take through the site. This information is collected through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies.
We may receive information about you from public records (for example, motor vehicle reports where permitted), consumer reporting agencies, and analytics providers. We use this information to verify the details you provide and to produce accurate quotes.

Mobile information sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties.
This section explains how text messaging works with TFD Insurance. Please read it carefully because by submitting your phone number through our website or by giving verbal consent to a TFD Insurance representative you are consenting to the practices described below.
Express consent. When you provide your mobile phone number on a TFD Insurance form (including the home-page quote form) or to one of our licensed agents, you are giving express written consent for TFD Insurance to contact you at that number using an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or prerecorded voice, or text messages, even if the number is on a federal, state, or internal Do Not Call list. This consent applies regardless of whether you ultimately purchase an insurance policy.
Types of messages you may receive. Messages may be informational, transactional, or promotional in nature. Examples include quote confirmations, follow-up reminders to complete your quote, scheduled call reminders, customer-service responses, satisfaction surveys, special savings offers, and policy-renewal reminders.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the Services. You may receive recurring messages.
Carrier charges. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. TFD Insurance does not charge a separate fee for sending messages, but your wireless provider's standard rates will apply to messages you send and receive.
How to opt out. You can opt out of TFD Insurance text messages at any time. Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us and we will unsubscribe you from further marketing text messages from TFD Insurance. After you send STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further text messages will be sent unless you opt back in.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to consent to receive autodialed calls or text messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from TFD Insurance. You may instead contact us by phone or email and ask a licensed agent to assist you without the use of automated calls or text messages.
Carrier-specific note. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS service is supported by all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and others.
We share your information only as necessary to deliver the Services and only with the categories of recipients described below.
When you request a quote, your information (such as your name, mailing address, vehicle details, and driving history) may be shared with insurance carriers, brokers, and licensed agents in our partner network so they can prepare a quote and contact you about coverage options. Quote information shared with our partner network does not include mobile phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data, which are used only by TFD Insurance as described in Section 4.
We engage trusted vendors to perform services on our behalf, including hosting, analytics, customer-relationship management, telecommunications, and email delivery. These vendors are contractually limited to using your information solely for the purposes for which we hire them.
We may disclose information when required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TFD Insurance, our users, or the public.
If TFD Insurance is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or share your personal information with data brokers, list brokers, or third-party advertisers for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in data are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party, as described in Section 4.

Quote forms are protected by 256-bit TLS encryption in transit, sensitive data is encrypted at rest, and internal access is limited to employees and contractors who need it to perform their duties. While we work hard to keep your information secure, no system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Services are intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete the information.
